MY STORY

Born and raised in Reno, Nevada, I have always had a deep love of writing and research. I majored in journalism at the University of Southern California, graduating magna cum laude.

Most recently, I worked as the Nevada reporter for Courthouse News, a national outlet that provides daily court coverage for subscribers and maintains a news website covering a vast array of topics. In addition to reporting state and federal court rulings in Nevada, California and across the Ninth Circuit, I wrote a number of stories on politics, science, the economy and the environment. From delving into Nevada's redistricting process to breaking news on major immigration and public lands rulings to capturing the scope of devastating wildfires, I have a wealth of experiences doing digital journalism that serves diverse audiences.

While at USC, I worked as both a reporter and an editor in the campus newsroom, Annenberg Media. I covered topics ranging from campus sexual assault statistics to university COVID-19 protocols to international and national issues with student angles. Though my passion is for written journalism, I have experience writing, editing, interviewing and producing for live television and radio broadcasts. My greatest passion is telling stories that help audiences understand complicated, nuanced and emotionally-sensitive topics.

Outside of journalism, I enjoy music, film and television, books, going to the beach, hiking and puttering in the garden.
